The Friday night performance will be opened by artistic researcher and musician Aimée Theriot-Ramos. She combines playing an electric cello with editing and enriching the signal through software and sound fragments. Her music is based on free improvisation, ambient and soundscape recordings, with voices and archives playing an important role. Expect a sound performance that moves between very small and major sounds.
Theriot (she/her) is co-founder and facilitator of The Social Music Club; improvisation and sound experiments for musicians and non-musicians, and the aux) collective, which focuses on experimental music, sound studies and performance.
