Policies

  • From 23 March 2022, the Dutch government lifted all of its COVID-19 measures. Visitors no longer need to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative test result to enter the festival. Mouth masks and social distancing are no longer mandatory.

This does not mean that COVID-19 no longer exists. We ask for the safety of our visitors and ourselves: are you sick, stay home. If you have doubts about your health and there are incipient symptoms that resemble COVID-19, we advise you to take a test.

  • Because we find ourselves in a global climate emergency, FIBER is currently still developing an organisation-wide policy (also with the help of existing tools and more experienced partners). Right now we are working in a few areas to increase sustainability and reduce festival impact. We actively work to minimise flights: short-haul flights are converted to train journeys and all flights are offset. This is a collaborative conversation and process with artists, agents and everyone who is part of the mobility of art and culture. Work is being done to reduce (single-use) plastic use at the festival. Artist en crew catering is vegetarian, and often entirely plant-based. We will add more steps in the near future.

  • Yes. FIBER follows the Fair Practice Code (Dutch), which sets out clear fees for artists, researchers, crew, team members and interns. We engage with artists and team members to learn and continue to improve financial situations.Fair Practice Code

  • Yes, we follow an adapted version of the Berlin Code of Conduct. Please read about it here
