FIBER Festival 2023
11 - 14 May
Amsterdam
↓
Meeting place for audiovisual art, daring conversations and experimental electronic music.
FIBER Festival returns in 2023 for its 8th edition from 11 to 14 May at various locations in Amsterdam. The programme brings together a wide selection of art, electronic music and audiovisual performances that explore our rapidly transforming world through multi-sensory ways.
The festival acts as an international meeting place for art enthusiasts, professional makers & thinkers and curious newcomers to jointly examine urgent development across technology, ecology and culture. We look forward to meeting you in May.
Spread over four days and various charismatic locations in the city, you can visit a music, performance and club programme, a two-day symposium, the festival exhibition and a special opening concert. For artistic creators and researchers (both artistic and academic), the second edition of the Audiovisual Art Assembly will take place; a one-day research and networking event.
We will share the festival theme and first names in early 2023. However, it is already possible to buy a sharply discounted early bird ticket.

Travel & stay
-
For visitors within Europe, we recommend coming by train as much as possible. This way, we reduce the environmental impact. In addition, it is often a relaxing way to travel. Amsterdam Central Station is well connected to public transport that takes you to the various locations, hotels and apartments.
If you come by plane, Schiphol airport and Amsterdam Central railway station are well connected by public transport. You can be in the city centre in 15 minutes by train.
-
May is often a warm period, so renting a bike in Amsterdam City Center or Amsterdam Noord is also recommended. This will allow you to quickly find your way around the city and travel between locations. Information about public transport can be found at the GVB website.
-
For visitors outside the Netherlands, we have compiled a selection of hotels and services to help with the accommodation search. We are aware that Amsterdam is a very expensive city, and increasing every year, and hope to assist visitors with information and options in the coming period. At the moment, our festival does not have a hotel deal, but we are helping to find your way to some affordable places or hotels we have worked with in the past.
