Amsterdam-based duo Know V.A. are sophisticated sonic sculptors and atmospheric worldbuilders. During our clubnight at Garage Noord they will play a DJ-set using elements from hard-dance traditions – from hardcore, gabber to UK-grime, bass and breaks. Their sound is best described as a combination between fragmental breakdowns that are slowed down or subtly sped up, using synths and kicks as completely new melodic elements resulting in emotionally charged rhythms and ghostly hyper-realities. Sharp micro sounds are right in front of you, while massive basses fade in and out of focus, making listening to Know V.A. 's artistic output a strong spatial experience. With their artful approach to the hardcore continuum, they lead you past unexpected futuristic and human-machine entwined sound spaces.

Know V.A. are Marijn Brussaard and Feico de Muinck Keizer. Over the course of a decade, the Dutch duo has released music, performed and organised club and concert events with their label Strange Days. Zenith (2016), Hibernation (2020), 5% tint edit (2021) and the most recent Angel Rip (2022) are highly narrative and conceptual works. The duo collaborated with artists such as LYZZA, Slikback, toured extensively in Asia and Europe, composed a soundtrack for Calvin Klein and are part of the documentary soundtrack Thunderdome Never Dies with their track Opus 1.
