UPDATE Tonight's Programme

We are sad to announce that, due to unforseen reasons, Hüma Utku can't perform at the festival today. Instead of Hüma, we invite Rotterdam-based Acidic Male and visual artist Jelmer Noordeman to perform their latest audiovisual performance at Noordwaards.

Visual artist and writer Puck Schot (Acidic Male) combines electronic music with noise, poetry and distorted drum samples. She is interested in blending industrial aesthetics, hypnotic drum patterns and experimental vocals. Having her performer name as a revenge title, she searches to "other" herself into the position of a manipulator, perpetrating the listener through the duality of softness and harshness within violent sounds and poetry. On stage she is exposing her confessions, memories and hauntologies.

Visual artist Jelmer Noordeman develops his hypnotic visuals with analogue video experiments. His compositions flow, disintegrate and transform into abstract landscapes. With his work, he explores changing experiences of time and the possibility of signal noise and fragmentation.

This production was commissioned by Klankvorm and will also appear at Conflux festival.
